This is the most important political, legal and democracy story right now. Yet, it has garnered relatively little coverage from legacy media outlets. The outcome in these cases may decide whether we have free and fair elections in 2026. www.democracydocket.com/analysis/as-...

Mark Carney has been literally slipping talking points put together by tech billionaires and the Build Canada group they founded into his speeches.

Grim revelation — and of course, the tech industry is thrilled about it.

The oligarchs want political power to advantage their businesses. The autocrat wants key businesses to be controlled by allies in service of strengthening his regime.

These arrangements work out nicely for everyone until the oligarch accidentally falls out of a window.

I've filtered Ottawa's traffic collision data to show only collisions with injuries for each year, and then added the speed camera locations present in those years.

It looks like speed cameras have made the roads much safer.

you could fact check this — there aren’t 30 million illegal immigrants and there is no evidence that the presence of an immigrant in say houston has any impact on housing in madison, wisconsin — or you could note straightforwardly that this is just nazi rhetoric
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

Wtf?!?
Instead of protecting Canadians from scams, Mark Carney’s Liberals are planning to develop a framework for stablecoins after crypto billionaires spent big to buy one in the United States.

The government claims it will “benefit men and youth by improving prosperity and good governance.” 🫠

It’s a predictable pattern. Suburban and rural (mainly) voted to spend more, get less, align themselves with private interest to fund a project that doesn’t affect them, delivering lower value at the expense of urban quality of life and wrecking women’s pro hockey in the capital.

"World's first potential trillionaire has killed 600,000 people, including 400,000 children" is the only headline that anyone should ever read about Elon Musk
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc

It is *obscene* that that beast wearing the skin of a man called Elon Musk was just awarded a trillion dollar pay-package after he personally signed the death warrant of hundreds of thousands of innocents earlier this year.
I helped make a film, out this week, called “Rovina’s Choice,” about the deaths this man without conscience or accountability has caused — already 600,000, ⅔ of them children.

Just straight up racism. Disgusting!
So here's Andrew Cuomo reacting to Maria Bartiromo wondering if Mamdani will "change the look of New York" and have Muslim women "completely covered up," telling her that Mamdani "doesn't understand New York culture" because he has "dual citizenship" and "he's a citizen of Uganda."

The math on Lansdowne 2.0 is all lies and gimmicks.

Like, $6 million from raising the hotel tax. That doesn't actually have anything to do with Lansdowne.

Say we raised property taxes 2% and just said it all goes to Lansdowne 2.0, is that Lansdowne 2.0 paying for itself? Of course not. 🧵
