Republican Rep. Doug LaMalfa has died.

Marjorie Taylor Greene resigned from Congress last night.

A special election in Texas on Jan. 31 will put in another Democrat in office.

Mike Johnson's House majority is almost non-existent. Next month, he can only lose one vote.

The Trump Justice Department says it's still reviewing more than two million Epstein-related documents.

Just 12,285 documents have been released so far. That makes up less than 1% of all the files.

The deadline to release all the files was Dec. 19. Three-and-a-half weeks ago.

J6 attackers:
- went on tours to case the Capitol
- had tactical gear, weapons, zip ties
- planted pipe bombs the night before
- knew where non-reinforced windows were
- included organized Proud Boy and Oath Keeper units

It was NOT a "protest" run amok

IT WAS A PLANNED COUP

As a litigator for over 20 years, I've led a LOT of document productions.

If you only release 1% of a promised pool of docs - like DOJ has with the Epstein files - that means you have a LOT to hide.

It means the other 99% of the documents are RIDDLED with toxic evidence.

The US invasion of Venezuela is against international law and it is against US law. It represents a monumental breakdown of rules-based order. Failure to condemn it in the strongest terms possible – and failure to impeach and convict Trump is to be complicit with his barbarism and despotism.

I wanted to add an observation, that this sure is one whopper of a distraction from Epstein, Jack Smith, and bad polling, and one colossal infusion of narcissistic energy for a weakened and diminished old man who has been embarrassed by advancing ill health and progressive cognitive decline.

This strike doesn't represent strength. It's not sound foreign policy. It puts Americans at risk in Venezuela and the region, and it sends a horrible and disturbing signal to other powerful leaders across the globe that targeting a head of state is an acceptable policy for the U.S. government.

If Donald Trump wasn’t re-elected, he’d be spending the rest of his life in prison.

And he should be.

The Kennedy Center isn't the only performance venue in DC, and I doubt a district that votes 96% blue is going to stop going to the theater.
This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

To be fair, that was also the entire point - there were several Trump appointees who wouldn’t have passed an FBI background check.
