Wife and I actually had the attention spans to watch a movie last night, so we rented The Long Walk. I had read the book, so I knew it wasn't exactly a happy fun time extravaganza, but Jesus that was the most aggressively depressing movie I've seen in a while. Like, Hanneke levels of upsetting.

I'm a pretty open person with little sexual shame, so I find myself telling people about my vasectomy on occasion. I have now had to specify to two people, one of whom is a tenured professor, that stuff still comes out when you blow a load after you get one. Jesus Christ what a world.

Man, no disrespect to cher, but what is the point of doing a live show and lip syncing it? You are literally cher, SNL is so far beneath you but it was bad and unenjoyable to watch these "performances." Why wouldn't they just book a musical guest who can music?

So I watched the new Fantastic 4 movie and while it required you to know just enough about the comic to yadda yadda the origin story, you didn't have to know a single other thing about the MCU to enjoy it. I very much liked that.

My daughter has been kind of despondent that kids around her keep losing teeth and she hasn't lost any (she's only 6, so not out of the ordinary). Anyway, today she discovered a loose tooth and video called me about it before school and her excitement was the cutest damn thing I've seen in ages.
