The top 0.1% of Americans control $22 trillion in wealth.

The bottom 50% of the country controls $3.8 trillion in wealth.

Read that back.

Is it any wonder why so many think the system is rigged?

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

There is zero chance we are going to let Senate Republicans pass the most pro-billionaire and anti-middle-class budget we have EVER seen the easy way.

I will not sit by quietly while they try to take food off families' tables so they can put more fuel in private jets.

Why do so many feel like they've fallen behind?

It's not because of immigrants, trans people, DEI, the “deep state,” or any other bogeyman trotted out by the GOP.

It's because big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

Last night, I proposed a simple amendment to Republicans’ budget resolution:

A 2 cent tax on every dollar of wealth over $50 million dollars for the richest 0.05% of American households.

Spoiler alert: every single Republican voted NO on making the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share.

To me, it's simple.

I'm not going to vote for or expedite a single Trump nominee while this constitutional crisis persists and deepens.

That's just a component of real opposition, but it has to be the starting point.

No complicity. Fierce opposition.
