If I had one thing I wish I could get people to understand it's that a huge portion of US voters don't really have a consistent, coherent political ideology. They treat voting like a Sizzler buffet. They'll try something that seems like it might be good and if they dislike it, just stop 1/3

Q 1 is if this happened. it would not be a typical emoluments clause style ripoff the taxpayers. Far worse, it would be collusion w/ the DOJ which is supposed to vigorously defend against such lawsuit and that taxpayer's interests, and an amount untethered to any law.
