So whatever happened to the release of the Epstein files after the house and senate both agreed to have them released. Dems and republicans both. Are we to believe that means nothing now? Where the hell are they? What’s next? Do other countries have to vote for the release of the files? WTF🤷‍♂️??

No justice then. Our democracy is so over
BREAM: Is the FBI investigating the ICE agent who shot Renee Good?

BLANCHE: What happened has been reviewed by millions of Americans bc it was recorded. We investigate when it's appropriate. That is not the case here. We are not going to bow to pressure. So no, we are not investigating.

Four GOP Senators.

At most four Repubs in the House.

Together they could stop nearly all the mad-king's rampages. They would be known to history as Profiles in Courage. They might/would lose the next election. But people have sacrificed a lot more, for a lot less.
I can't repeat this enough.
I've said this before and I'll say it again.
It would only take a tiny handful of Republican Congress members or senators to stop the slide of America toward authoritarian fascism, but nope. They're all in.

Talked to a Somali man today who said his mosque last night was surrounded by neighbors ready to protect them against ICE if needed. Made me feel proud to live in this city.

This is an answer nobody would ever accept from a democrat. A democrat who gave this answer would be ruthlessly mocked until the end of time. Yet Trump and Republicans get away with it without so much as a follow-up.
Q: Can you explain how your healthcare plan will affect premiums?

TRUMP: It's a tremendous thing. It's called the great healthcare plan. And we're gonna get tremendous, uh, reductions through, uh, if you look at prescription drugs, they're gonna come down by numbers that have never been seen before

I will vote in November, if I don’t t there will still be consequences. Either way November will end this charade.

Something that’s not nearly being talked about enough is the detention by ICE of Native Americans. It is something that has been continually seen as ICE has terrorized neighborhoods and families

This was perhaps worse than the murder itself, the rewriting of the event expedited by the media itself. A mother was murdered on camera in front of witnesses and has received no justice
1. It's been more than a day since 2 of America's most storied newsrooms, CBS and ABC, reported that killer ICE agent Jon Ross suffered "internal bleeding" based on unnamed sources

Since then

- No other news org has confirmed the story

- No evidence (photos, medical records) has been produced

It’s been one month since 100% of the Epstein files were due by Act of Congress. Thus far they’ve only released .6% of them and are using murder and war to distract you from this fact.

Saying the officer who committed murder is a murderer is dangerous, but it's OK to claim that his victim was a domestic terrorist who literally ran him over.
Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

If calling a state secret police agent a murderer for committing murder will lead to more murder by the state secret police, it sure seems like the problem is with the secret police

Also, the guy who killed someone dropped an F bomb. So the only difference between him and Frey is killing someone.
WELKER: Do you bear any responsibility to bring down the temperature?

FREY: Of course. But I dropped an F bomb and they killed somebody. I think the killing somebody is the inflammatory element here and not the F bomb.

This is the way and every single Democrat should be on board.

It won't get anywhere before the midterms, but it will make the midterms easier for Democrats to win and easier to take action on these promises once they do.

Be the party of accountability. Own that space, starting now.

This has finally gotten under my skin and caused me no end of despair. This week was already so awful, only to be surpassed by the laugh emoji on every piece of solemn news. Who are these people that delight in the pain and suffering of our world. We will never run out of these terrible souls

Whatever your feelings on law enforcement, understand they don't apply here whatsoever because ICE categorically *has nothing to do with law enforcement*

I was just denied access to the ICE processing center at the Whipple Building.

Members of Congress have a legal right and constitutional responsibility to conduct oversight where people are being detained.

The public deserves to know what is taking place in ICE facilities.
JUST NOW: Huge mass of agents in a standoff, weapons drawn as Reps. Ilhan Omar, Angie Craig, and Kelly Morrison attempt to conduct congressional oversight at the Whipple Building, which has been HQ for thousands of ICE agents.

The past couple days have made it clear that arresting and prosecuting Johnathan Ross isn’t just the right thing to do, it is necessary to prevent future violence by ICE who have interpreted the situation as “we can do that to whoever we want”
A woman recording an ICE agent tells him "Shame on you."

The agent responds, "Have you all not learned from the past couple of days?"

"Learned what?" she asks

Then he knocks her phone out of her hand
