Oof. The Dems need to stop pretending, based on some imaginary focus group, that there’s some common ground with Trump. The key is to fight everywhere.

You should go study Neville Chamberlain’s attempt at “common ground.” It didn’t end well for his historical reputation. Or the world.
Hakeem Jeffries: "Donald Trump promised that he would lower housing costs on day one. Here's a suggestion for the Trump administration: try to legislate, and maybe we can find common ground in order to get something done for the American people."

In the aftermath of Emmett Till's lynching, white supremacists called for federal troops to invade and occupy Chicago.

"If the federal government intervenes in the interests of law enforcement anywhere, it should start in Chicago, crime capital extraordinary."

I know, I know, but: The president of the US saying, literally, "we're going in" in reference to sending the military to an American city for no reason beyond terrorizing the local population should be the most immediately impeachable shit imaginable

I can tell you exactly which conspiracy theory / disinformation campaign the assholes who passed this nonsense have chosen to believe. It's an American narrative about "welfare recipients buying steak and lobster." So that's who is inspiring them: right-wing American conspiracy theories
£9.95 a week, that’s how much people in hotels are paid in lieu of working rights.

Pathetic posturing.

National Guard does not have the authority to make arrests.

This isn’t about crime. It’s about terrorizing a majority Black city & making sure y’all know they will do it to you too.

Donald Trump fired the head of the nonpartisan Bureau of Labor Statistics because they reported bad jobs data he didn’t like.

If the facts don’t fit his story, he’ll try to erase them.

This is dangerous for our economy.

Being 6 feet 2 inches tall is the same as being trans, apparently.

This kind of trans hate does not belong anywhere.

Techbros couldn’t have invented GPS because to have it work at all requires the use of distant black holes; basic research that gov’t needs to fund over decades that tech never will.

They don’t realize yet that they’ve turned off the faucet of the tech hose by defunding science.
I mean, GPS only exists because the government (ok, the military) needed it. If these techbros had invented GPS they would be charging $50 to get a route that doesn’t send you up an old logging road that 4WD isn’t enough for
