for ages I've wanted a really ridiculously tiny bikini that says "I ❤️ Andrea Dworkin" but I think I'll be the only one who finds that funny

Imagine just half the energy campaigning against trans rights had been put into

- Fighting the underfunding of women’s refuges

- Fighting for single mums

- Fighting for low-paid women

Compared to fighting trans rights, which would have had most impact on women’s lives?

The Syrian Arabic word for a hamster is أبو جراب (abu jrab), where jrab refers to a pouch/saddlebag/tote. And abu often means “father of,” but can also function as a general honorific (like “mister”). So it’s not too big a stretch to say the Syrian Arabic word for a hamster means “Mister Saddlebags”

I remember in like 2012-2014 Tumblr there was this thing called "ugly girls club" and the idea behind it was anti-makeup anti-cosmetic surgery anti-diet etc etc and ngl I do think we need that flavour of feminism back

Yes, in the perfect society there will be no cringe.

But Marxism is not a utopian vision, but a process for abolishing the current state of affairs. No existing revolution can achieve perfection, therefore there can be no revolution without at least some cringe, and we must accept this.

There’s no such thing as A.I “art.” It’s a soulless amalgamation of plagiarised data. That is the antithesis of art.

generally I don't care that much about Americanisms creeping in to British English but there are a few things I will never accept, including pronouncing schedule as "skedule"

Air pollution has dropped significantly in #Paris in the last 15 years. Mayor Anne Hidalgo’s leadership has traded car space for green space, safe bike space, kid space.. and traded pollution for people.

Good trade.

One of the reasons David Lynch's work meant so much to me is that he promised that no matter how ordinary-seeming the space you occupy, you contain an unmeasurable quantity of weirdness that deserves expression.
I am promising myself that from here on out, I will try to write even weirder.

Going back to the 1960’s the XY/XX chromosomes classification made no historical, scientific, ethical, legal or social sense.

Recognizing this, the IOC last engaged in chromosomal testing in 1996 Olympics, and formally banned the practice in 1999.
