If we want to add some spice to the CFL, have conversions kicked from a line from where the ball was touched down, like in rugby.

Hi @oliviachow.bsky.social I get you want workers back in office, which is great, but if the building courtyards and adjacent city property are full of junkies, there's going to be trouble. #cloudgardens Please, let's get a workable solution in place!

@juliedabrusin.bsky.social any chance part of the ambitious infrastructure projects your party is planning, can we please please please improve train service ASAP. Unacceptable to have trains running 25+ minutes late when already long and infrequent.

It's literally peak cycling season. I bet 50% or more of the folks coming from the Beaches could a) carpool or b) cycle.

Cool study from @bikewaysto.bsky.social detailing a traffic count on Bloor Street taken on June 11 with a camera at 412 Bloor West. During the peak of the afternoon rush, bikes outnumbered cars.

I repeat: bikes outnumbered cars.

I've finally started to cycle to work and actually use Bike Share instead of my own, in order to avoid the hassle of parking in an underground bike locker. Lots of opportunity to be had in more valet service around Budweiser Stage too.
Yesterday, Bike Share reached a record 36,000 trips! In addition the 14-day average is about 20% higher than this time last year. The popularity of the system is exploding, and our governments need to support a safe and connected cycling network.

"Bike lanes restrict road space. Bike lanes have turned streets into parking lots, with residents unable to shop, get kids to events, and seriously impact emergency services & Wheel-Trans."

Actually, no. 100% wrong. Car dependency & too much driving with increasingly large vehicles does all that.
Bikeway construction on The Esplanade draws community controversy | CBC News
Some downtown residents say they are opposed to a bikeway on The Esplanade but the city of Toronto says more than half of respondents it consulted four years ago said they supported the project.

So: the “Protect Bathurst / Dufferin” astroturf campaign run by Summerhill Market had videos of a guy talking about the neighborhood & RapidTO proposal. Real grassroots feel. Took a screenshot & put it into google image search. Guess what?

@ttchelps.bsky.social not trying to be controversial, but an entire 503 basically unrideable with the sheer number of marginalized folks (not their presence but the smell literally unbearable). Does the TTC have any plans of action here if they want to maintain paid ridership?

My cynical take is that nobody listened because it was Toronto and people enjoy Toronto getting hit with crap. But all of Ontario is paying billions, and it's their Ontario Place too (and their Science Centre, and their Greenbelt and...).

Useless Canadian internecine bullshit strikes again.
I was talking about local journalism and forgot to mention the invaluable work of @spacing.bsky.social and @johnlorinc.bsky.social, who did the legwork to investigate Therme. But no one listened.
Want more? At @spacingstore.bsky.social , @johnlorinc.bsky.social has been investigating Therme for years (harassed by their hench-comms). Go back thru his archive. Maybe the NYT will wake more up in Ontario who shrug at Cdn reporting.

Watching fairly smart people have to continue to sing Poilievre's praise in order to not lose face is interesting to watch. Imagine being forced to keep your wagon hitched to that guy and that "platform" as his ship is sinking. Woof.
