I know we keep focusing on Colbert and Kimmel as we should, but we also need to remember there are hundreds of people who work for these shows who also just lost their jobs because of this bullshit, and most of them are probably not millionaires.

You might not realize it, but what happened is that over 50 ABC affiliates in major US markets told Disney/ABC that they would no longer air the program. Advertisers aren't going to buy ads on a show that isn't broadcast in major market so Disney put the production on indefinite hiatus. Period.

It's important to keep pointing out: Jimmy Kimmel didn't say anything about Charlie Kirk. He criticized Trump and his MAGA freaks for gleefully exploiting Kirk's death. That's what got him suspended. And that's what makes this different and even more dangerous.

I would love to be part of the conversation on MSNBC related to the Kimmel story and it's chilling effects on first amendment, but unfortunately I was terminated by MSNBC for stating that "hateful thoughts lead to hateful words which lead to hateful actions".
