We have to choose good every day. We have to choose acceptance and equality and equity and justice. None of us are inherently beyond that. And the first step to doing good is recognising that you aren’t better than anyone else.

The point of writing crap is not that you should barf out anything.

It's that you should be aware as you are writing it what the flaws are, and you need to get through it the first time, because the act of doing so informs you what is wrong.

The lessons for heavy DIYers to take from this, btw:

If your doctor says your insurance won't approve a newly-released drug you really want to try, don't despair. Ask them if they're willing to do a "peer to peer" if you draft the justification for them to edit to save time.
