Kudos to Stephen Colbert for speaking out.

Surrendering to the Trump regime's tyranny only invites more of it.

Paramount clearly seems to care more about getting a merger approved than its own integrity.

Among all the big bad things happening on our planet, there's one Big Good Thing, the sudden, startling rise of solar energy.
It changes the power dynamic, in every sense of the word 'power.'

For the life of me I don’t understand going to the effort - time, money, everything - of running for Congress, winning, and then just rolling over. It makes no sense.

Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

In this post, I consider federal Judge Charles Breyer's compelling ruling against Trump's federalization of California National Guard. Situation here is yet another example of Trump's abusive invocation of emergency powers (as with Alien Enemies Act and tariffs): reason.com/volokh/2025/...

Starting to wonder if we took one for global civic democracy. Electing Trump basically seems to have knee-capped every revanchist far-right candidate in the world. You're welcome, world.

I wish Gregg Popovich nothing but the best as he steps away from the San Antonio Spurs bench. There was nothing quite like dealing with Pop. He resisted my every attempt to do this story on him, but in the end he kinda sorta cooperated. The man is one of a kind. Please enjoy. bit.ly/4m0KLoK
