Inside Onsi Saleh’s journey from small-town Alberta to Hawks GM
Onsi Saleh's basketball fandom might be the least quirky element of his unlikely path from the 'City of Champions' to the general manager role in Atlanta. Michael Grange has the story.

The Raptors own the FIFTH-BEST halfcourt offensive rating in the NBA.

They haven't ranked higher than 26th in halfcourt offence since the 2020-21 season (!!).

Before I was an NBA writer, I was a pro poker player for 12 years. I played against many pro athletes, including Ty Lue a few times.

Here's a snapshot of that period of my life, and thoughts on Lue's alleged connection to Chauncey Billups' private game:

There was a little panic after the Raptors lost four straight -- 'good panic' per Raps guard Jamal Shead -- but two tidy wins has helped things. Next step is getting struggling guard Immanuel Quickley going: www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article/...
Why Raptors' Immanuel Quickley isn't worried about slow start
As the Raptors prepared to host the Bucks once again, it was inevitable that the focus shifted to the next area of concern for the team: the subpar play of point guard Immanuel Quickley.

With GLOBL JAM getting under way in Toronto tonight, I wrote about Florida guard Xaivian Lee, who will playing for Canada tonight after choosing another year of college over trying to break in to the NBA after three years at Princeton: www.sportsnet.ca/basketball/a...

When Xaivian Lee was playing high school basketball in Toronto just a few years back, he could never have dreamed of this. In fairness, writes Michael Grange, no one else could either.
