Rolled over the 100k mark for new words written this year! It's been a long time since I wrote this much (I had a 5+ year hiatus from about mid-2018 to early 2024). So excuse me while I brag on myself! :)

It's about to be sequel time! "As I Still Lay Dying"...

Or maybe not... lol
When the clock strikes midnight on January 1, creative works from 1930 & sound recordings from 1925 will enter the public domain in the US, like:

and many more!

Finally finished writing that dang chapter that I’d been stuck on (in) forever. And now it has an ending I didn’t see coming. Sweet….

Today is the go-live day for my historical and (hopefully) humorous (with a hint of the fantastic) novel Augie and Ozzy Take Back the Mountain!!
It’s alive! (and two weeks early!)
Today is the go-live day for my historical and (hopefully) humorous (with a hint of the fantastic) novel Augie and Ozzy Take Back the Mountain!! This book was a lot of fun to write, even if it took me quite a while to pull it all together after my 5+ year long hiatus when I didn't write a THING. I wrote most of it while my wife was taking classes and doing the research and writing for her doctorate.

Aww, that nice person in my email wants to give my novel “the visibility it deserves.”

I guess the first step would be getting the title right in the email… they weren’t even close! lol

Hey, folks, please consider grabbing a copy of this anthology. I hope to keep it going.
Great anthology with a strong selection of stories that run the wide spectrum of weird. Horror, fantasy and sci-fi are all here, along with just plain odd and eerie tales.

Sometimes the covers just… come together
It's kind of great when you find the right images and put them together and it's... magic. Very happy with this cover for my upcoming Patreon story in a week or two. Spoiler alert: it's an Augie and Ozzy story set in 1974, with a special guest star or two! Coming soon...

My 18-y.o. picked up @stephenking.bsky.social's THE STAND a month ago (at an actual BOOK store), and he's tearing through it as fast as he can. It's been a blast reliving the end of the world with him. Bonus: we get to watch the still-pretty-awesome 1994 adaption as soon as he finishes a section!

I am furiously trying to get all my website updates (covers! so many covers...) and various marketing stuff (trying out some BookFunnel stuff) and all that other necessary stuff that just EATS up my time by the end of the day today.

So I can focus all December on the New Novel.

Ha. Wish me luck.

It's been a loooong time since I've been able to announce this, but... I have an all-new novel coming out! This new novel is called Augie and Ozzy Take Back the Mountain, and it's a book I've been wanting to write for years.

It's been a loooong time since I've been able to announce this, but... I have an all-new novel coming out! This new novel is called Augie and Ozzy Take Back the Mountain, and it's a book I've been wanting to write for years, for a number of reasons. First, I've always wanted to write something set in the '70s, just because I feel like that's a somewhat forgotten decade (everyone's into the '80s and '90s these days, it seems!).

Having worked repetitive and harsh jobs on farms and in a factory or two, I have nothing but respect for the folks who do these jobs for years (and not just on summer breaks while in college, like me!). My wrists hurt just watching this clip...

This month's Patreon story! Set in the early months of 1974, this story gives us some back-story on these two shady fellows from my Finder Team novels, and hopefully it shines some light on why they became the scoundrels the are in the present time.
New story/novel excerpt at my Patreon page
All right, here we go! My Patreon page is all set up for this month's story, "Take Back the Mountain." Just a heads-up that the stories are no longer free. You'll have to throw in a little bit of coffee money to read each month's story (I tried to get it down to the absolutely lowest amount per month). For a very, very small fee, you get early access to this story, which also serves as the first chapter to my similarly named novel, …
