30-yr mortgage rates remain at their lowest levels since late 2024. While still above 2022 lows, this marks meaningful relief from the 7s seen last fall.

Univ. of Michigan consumer sentiment slipped, but inflation expectations rose—bad news for mortgage rates. Earlier this week may have been the bottom for 2025, with retail earnings next week adding more headwinds.
