POV: you are stuck in London traffic behind a 2008 Vauxhall minivan adorned with various right wing slogans including “RIP LONDON KHAN AND STARMER GAVE FCUKED YOU! HONK IF YOU HATE EM!” & “Starmer stop the boats”. The license place is “RIP BE” and there are pictures of a demonic looking Keir Starmer and Sadiq Khan adorning the bumper and rear window. England and Union Jack flags fly from the rear windows

AI data centres are gobbling up environmental resources.

Billionaires are flying around on private jets.

Endless amounts of money & resources spent on wars around the globe.

But inhalers are the real threat to the climate?

They really will blame disabled people for everything
Screenshot of a post from local 12 WKRC TV which reads “inhalers contribute significantly to global warming study finds” and then a photo of two blue inhalers

A fucking Holocaust survivor is saying that him witnessing the Western world cheering on a genocide is the darkest thing he's ever seen in his whole life.

Think about that for a second.

‘Israel’s daily cruelty in Gaza that we’re witnessing, and the political class in most of the Western world just cheering it on, is the darkest thing I've seen in my whole life.’

I see pieces like this a lot, often w/ a spin of lamenting cultural degeneration, but reading is a LABOR issue, it’s declined because so many people are working overtime or two jobs & employers expect after hours work. France has Earth’s highest reading rate b/c long lunch breaks & labor protections

Tibetan yaks are being used to get people stranded in various areas of Mount Everest down.

-'the reason for that is because during dangerous conditions, where there is deep snow, the yaks can not only carve a path but potentially reveal dangerous chasms.'

If the state wants to avoid cumulative protests, maybe the answer is to stop its cumulative support for injustice, its cumulative inaction on the climate crisis and its cumulative complicity in genocide.

It won't: and so, no matter how many new laws ministers create, protests are inevitable

The Home Office sham "consultation" on cumulative protests closed on 29 September, so this immediate announcement shows Labour had already decided – yet again – to expand public order powers, well before the Manchester attack that is now used to justify it

Did you know that Kookaburras are a species of Kingfisher? I didn't, but now I do. I'm quite fond of them, but I also kind of think they are stupid assholes. It just goes to show you that even the simple and beautiful can be a stupid asshole, and isn't that something that is true?
A kookaburra, probably preparing to be a stupid asshole
