The fucking gall. She has never been a journalist, and her version of building trust is giving a veto to Stephen Miller (or Donald Trump) about whether they are sending innocents to be tortured in a foreign gulag. The Who-Me destruction of institutions is a pervasive modern cancer in society
Bari Weiss just sent this Christmas Eve email to the CBS News staff about "building trust," which includes her tripling down on spiking the CECOT piece "to make sure it's comprehensive and fair."

One CBS staffer tells me: "She really has no idea how insulting she comes across."

Better for the climate, better for health, better for livability and quality of life.

Common sense.

Such a no-brainer, it’s remarkable that more cities HAVEN’T done the same.

The issue is, if you want people to not use cars, you need to consider that transport study after transport study (for obvious reasons) mentions speed as a top factor.

And this doesn't improve affordability, the transit fare is the same.

We just spent 3 billion public dollars on it!
Fair enough - ever average walking speed I can find is 4.5 KPH +/-. But the point is not the speed, it's affordability and getting moving people withou using cars. Build more; subsidise more = safer, cleaner places to live.
