Gender Criticals should be in the dock with them.

Another one: Someone seeing my posts on BlueSky led to them investigating an issue with NHS Blood and Transplant guidelines that were incorrect and putting some people at risk when donating blood.

They managed to get the guidance changed, and it wouldn’t have happened without social media.

Someone on BSky encouraged me to read a book, which lead me to a discord and meeting new people who I’m now in a relationship with.

Same. Livid they wouldn't allow 'grandfather rights' for those who wanted to keep EU citizenship and held it before 2016.

Never expected the UK would end up like this either. But it's good many of us are planning on safety.

All we can do is look after each other and provide mutual support and assistance.

They’re advanced as far as I’ve done some research but we’ve not locked in anything definite or researched it in depth yet.

Both options give a path to EU citizenship which is something I really want back. I just get so annoyed and sad when I think about what was taken from us.

Even if we do end up going to Ireland instead, it’s going to be useful to know the language as I plan to keep visiting it.

I think Ireland is going to end up being the choice for most people though due to language and the CTA making it easier, but it’s still tough to have to move country.

I’m fortunate enough that I am able to apply for the D8 visa, which would be my plan.

I’ve spent about 3 weeks there this year so far staying with friends and the vibe is just great and such a difference from the UK.

Going to start in person Portuguese lessons in January.

Indeed, what happens with the EHRC guidance will set the stage for what happens next.

Family holidays to Portugal next week where I’m hoping they’ll see how nice it is and that becomes top of our list.

When we get back, we’ll know and plans will start in earnest.

I think my family and I will be making solid plans by the end of the year and start downsizing/getting rid of unneeded stuff to make it as easy as possible when the time comes.

Ireland or Portugal are top of the list.

this is indeed a direct response to that person who said we should abandon trans folk because “ppl won’t die on that hill, it’s not a winning political strategy”

Me. I will die on that hill. We leave nobody on the tracks.

Amongst me and my friends there’s various things of note including doing key work to make smart phones exist and accidentally bringing back a dead MMO which now has 3000-4000 active online players.

If you intentionally misgender a trans or Enby person, especially on a public place like X, you are harassing them. Depending on the context, it could amount to a number of specific offences and be an aggravated offence.
Lynsay actually read her Butterworths, unlike you, you batty lady🙂

This is a complete joke. Neurodivergence is still massively under diagnosed in the UK. Pretty much every expert in the field recognises this.

They’re about to do to ADHD meds what Cass did to trans kids. Be very afraid.

as always, the most accurate summation of modern politics ever created
comic from webcomicname.com, "different"

panel 1: pink blob creature: "I want things to be different"

panel 2: creature smashes everything

panel 3: creature stands in wreckage: "oh no"

As someone who looked after software that covered about 1/3 of this cost for most of the 2010s, I watched this decline in real time.

The below is not understood by the general public at all and honestly I come across unhinged trying to make this point to anyone not a politics nerd.

I should have looked after them, I’ll miss them when they’re gone.

Agree with all of this. Especially about investigating the abuse of patients in gender clinics.

Some of the questioning by some psychiatrists at clinics was abusive and wholly inappropriate - and isn’t mentioned in any of my patient notes.

(Northants GIC in 2017 for those who want to guess who)

- informed consent in primary care
- bulldoze every gender clinic
- hold inquiries into the abuses that went on there
- apologies + damages to patients denied care
- bosh ✊

If someone wants to transition, at any age and for any reason, that’s their business.

Glasgow Gender Clinic now has a waiting time of 224 years. The average across the UK is now 25 years.

This segregated system isn’t working and is wasting millions. The NHS has been told time and again - informed consent now.
