crazy that they made a water fireplace
Here is a video of a frozen creek that had begun to thaw, and the water was flowing beneath the thin ice on top. I took this because it was soothing and wonderfully bloopy and I wanted to listen to it for hours. You are all welcome to enjoy it, too. Let your brain settle here and rest for a moment.

🟡 NEW: The New York Times and Washington Post learned of a secret US raid on Venezuela soon before it was scheduled to begin Friday night — but held off publishing what they knew to avoid endangering US troops.

When people argue that renewable energy sources are too expensive, remember that we don’t invade countries to seize wind farms and there are no solar cartels. Fossil fuels have enormous geopolitical, public health, and climate externalities.

Stop calling it war. These are terrorist attacks being committed by the US government. Every foreign nation should be lining up sanctions.

I think we need to be able to balance the reactions "this is another expression of 250 years of American imperialism" and "what do you MEAN we kidnapped the president of Venezuela and renditioned him to the US and are now claiming to run the country"

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

He wasn't a step up, he was literally just the step before we got to where we are now. No one has to hand it to him.
Not a fan of Bush but he was a step up from what we got now.

People voting for Trump believed him when he said he was so rich he couldn't be influenced by money.

You got a lying conman, who got rich by money laundering for the Russia mob and taking bribes and cheated people who worked for his companies.

Now he's stealing from our country, selling us out.

My stance with the “never Trump” right remains: These are the people who fucking built Trump. Years of shit in service of Reagan, Bush, Romney, McCain paved the way for Trump. I don’t trust them. They’re rotten. I trust the people who opposed this shit all along.

Whenever we're out of this shit the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau should be built into an absolutely nightmare bureaucratic goliath. Increase the original funding by a million times and hire thousands of staffers trying to fuck shit up for business.

this seems like something a certain demographic would say.
Politics is not fan culture—none of these people are your friends. There are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies, only permanent interests.

We can be grateful that MTG is against Trump without liking her or thinking of her as a long-term ally. The anti-Trump coalition must be huge.

Endlessly tacking to the unpopular middle paired with this kind of entitled whining about the votes of people with actual moral principles deters more people from voting Democrat than any supposed "purity test" ever has.
We have a 2 party system and I participate in it, often having to choose the least bad of two candidates who doesn't check all my boxes. Basic grown up decision making. Schumer sucks, but I would vote for him in general to keep a full fascist out. Sad you would allow an ICE supporter in instead.
