Should we follow Denmark on abortion, too? Abortion is legal anywhere in Denmark until 18 weeks of pregnancy. And 15- to 17-year-olds don't need parental consent

Another big difference between Denmark and the U.S.: New parents get a combined 52 weeks of parental leave (divided between each parent). Parents can stay at home w/ babies there, instead of sending to daycare, where they catch every bug possible.

I wish I had spoilers for the ending of this story
TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

As a reminder, the velocity and trajectory of this object means that it must have originated in another planetary system.

At any given time there are likely thousands of such interstellar objects in the Solar System—but this is third *known* example.

My ask of any science enthusiasts who tell the story of Rosalind Franklin:
Don't make her life be about the DNA debacle. She died far too young, but she was a promising scientist in her own right, a mentor and scientific author.

Not for Watson or Crick, but for her legacy.

I would donate to such a project and volunteer. Everyone should have food and clean water.
If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net
