I code, a lot. I watch sports, a lot. I’m a Cleveland sports fan first, so that generally sucks. Will be using this exclusively as a stream of consciousness.
Potentially a hot take — There’s a difference between social issues you personally care about and social issues that are worth letting politicians talk about. Not every issue I care about is an issue that should be getting national attention.

You should read up about Open Banking. It’s good for consumers to be aware of their rights, especially when it comes to lending.

Good read. There are a lot of examples of conservatives exhibiting acts of self-harm for some shared sense of accomplishment that is often hard to define.

I wonder what’s worse, believing you’re doing something good when you’re actually hurting yourself, or knowing you’re doing nothing at all.
I watched the first few seconds and then I turned it off. I dreaded watching it, so I put it off for days. I am a rural Missourian, and so is Skylar, but unlike Skylar, I am a Democrat — I voted in his best interest while he voted against mine.

some of the wildest, most fun things i've ever worked on were collabs with kofie. as great as the finished products were, i can’t begin to describe his genius-level ability to make everything work behind the scenes. there is literally nobody else like this dude and i'm proud to have worked with him
After 8 years at Vox Media/SB Nation/Secret Base, I have been laid off. Thank you guys for supporting me throughout the years and I hope you join me for whatever is next.

Secret Base will continue to make great things, I honored to be a part of it.
I no longer work at Secret Base... Now what?
After 8 years of working at Vox Media, SB Nation & Secret Base my chapter there has abruptly closed. So what next? Let's talk about itPatreon is here: https:...

I’m not sure if you intended this, but this is also a comment on what “aligning with a mission” means, when republicans and democrats are geographically in different places. A Republican in the city has a different “mission” than a Republican in rural America. Dems barely see republicans they fault.
I will never fault nobody for voting in the way they think it’s best for them. That’s not what democracy is about guys. I voted for Kamala but if I felt like a 3rd party candidate best aligned with my mission & morals but they didn’t win AND who YOU voted for also didn’t win, how I’m to blame?
I think there is enough anger to go around for everyone, tbh. They are all responsible, not necessarily equally, but responsible nonetheless. Not voting or voting 3rd party while also doing absolutely nothing to help the cause is a choice.

I do think some companies deserve my dollar. I’m not completely anti-capitalist, that’s exhausting.

That being said, X/Tesla are like the EA Sports of other industries. The people that enjoy the app, or the cars, literally do not, and will never care what you tell them.

Great customer base lol.

if you're a tech journalist in the present climate, it's incumbent upon you to ask why big tech is pursuing dead ends like AI when they could just start using the number 2. ones and zeroes have taken us as far as they can. either chuck a few 2s in there or cede the future of tech to those who will

Why is it called gerrymandering instead of cheating?

I like them on other people. I cannot wear them myself. I need to be extra on my jeans. Like R&B, Ksubi. It’s the only clothing item I spend a lot of money on. I refuse to believe I look good or feel good in Levi’s.

Buy these #books right now!

99 cents for three books on Kindle.

I have no idea if they’re good, but this is an internet garage sale, and these are smaller authors who deserve your eyes!

Thanks @leylacardena.bsky.social

Will leave a review on yours soon!

I do enjoy how at a certain point this app and its algorithm basically tell me to get the hell off the app without actually saying so.
