We have an announcement.

#BookyMcBookface our Mobile Library is away on the ferry to the islands of Rousay and Egilsay today, but due to bad weather he will NOT be visiting Egilsay this afternoon. All Rousay stops will be as normal.

Apologies for any inconvenience.

Food concerns everyone, and so do the rules that protect it. If the EU rolls back food and pesticide laws, we all lose: our health, nature, clean water.

We built these protections together over time. Now let’s defend them.

Today's weak weather front passed too late to jazz up the ringing numbers at the Bill - just 69 new at the Obs/Crown Estate Field (no nos received yet from Culverwell) with the best the first Greenfinch ringed this year - before the ravages of Trichomonosis we've ringed as many as 566 in a year!...

At end of excellent CCI meeting about future plans we remembered Jane Goodall (who did her PhD in Zoology). Instead of a minute silence we opted for a minute noise - full of clapping and hooting. Much more suitable!
