This is brilliant. Grassroots involvement. This is a building block to that. Local news distributed mostly for free with local color and coupons would build a good communication base.
Unironically they should buy up the domains for about 60 defunct local newspapers in swing states. Hire two reporters to write almost exclusively about highschool sports and new restaurants opening with every 10th article about how the local GOP is screwing over people.

I had to visit the bad place today (X) because Bluesky is not quite at the capacity to keep me up to date on the wind and fire danger here in LA. The hate and vitriol and nastiness is nigh unbearable. I feel coated in scum and need a shower. Blech.

So… we already see all the horrible things that Trump and his appointees have done/will do. He’s already proven he has figured out how to manipulate the system and get away with it. It doesn’t feel like we learned anything the last time. What makes you think this time will be different.
