Fun things to do tomorrow:

Hey, as a librarian I need to tell you:

Our funding depends on usage.

So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.

the single best thing democrats could do to win back trust with voters — and a good number of those voters who have a low opinion of the democratic party are democrats themselves! — is adopt an aggressively partisan orientation toward republicans and loudly perform their opposition

So, trying to not binge the new series of #blackmirror, but the first episode (Common People) is probably the most realistic and likely Black Mirror episode so far. Gut punch.

So, I am totally fixated on this amoeba I have to learn about to contribute to a workup on it as a model organism for my bio degree. I can't believe how weird and wonderful it is! Look! it's a single cell! Look! It has a fruiting body!

Back when using a watch to communicate was only science fiction, I never dreamt how dorky I'd look trying to type in an SMS on a tiny smartwatch screen. And, yes, I can use voice to text, but I still have to edit it (which looks worse than swipe typing to begin with).
