Many libertarians and Democrats were wary of creating DHS in the post 9/11 era. I wasn't one of them. We should have listened to the critics. We blew them off because of fear. Now look at us. We are terrorized from within. Well-played Bin Laden. Well played. 😡

Trump will have to use force to take Greenland. I have no idea what happens then. But two scenarios are probable: we go to war with Europe or Trump gets impeached and removed from office for treason. Let's hope it's the latter.

It's about effing time. I've been saying the party must move to a populist agenda focused on socialism (TO THE LEFT) for 10 years.
It's pretty interesting that "presidential candidates have to move to the center to win the general election" was unassailable conventional wisdom in political science for 100 years and now one party has completely abandoned that to incredible success.

Since there exists no definition in statute of "insurrection" we are about to fall to a militarized regime. Count on it.

Any one of us could be detained for hours by ICE despite being a U.S. citizen.

Any one of us could be in the next apartment building that ICE raids in the middle of the night.

Any one of us could be the next to be brutalized by ICE for speaking out.

Authoritarianism hurts all of us.

The problem I have with this no transgender athletes argument is that it presupposes females will always be less physically capable than "male." There are a plethora of women happy to prove y'all wrong. Starting with menstruating and birthing moms. And ending with tennis players & combat veterans
On my way to the Supreme Court where I'll be proud to support 15-year-old Becky Pepper-Jackson, West Virginia's only transgender athlete, as she opposes the state's effort to ban her from playing as herself.

Win or lose, Becky and her family are heroes for standing up for what's right

I was thinking about that too. Sadly, there are 100+ years of this behavior in the West AND Latin America
We make comparisons to Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy, but I wonder if central and south American death squads are a better point of reference for the Trump regime

EXACTLY. Disarm ICE. Defund ICE.
I think it’s important to point out: ICE does NOT have the same authority as a police officer. They do NOT have the power to enforce laws, only to engage in their specific tasks.

IE: they don’t do traffic, etc. impeding traffic is not a penalty ICE can enforce against
