RE: Netflix/Warner deal -- one thing I wonder is negative effects for WWE, as well. As we saw with the MSFT/Activision buyout, once you buy a house, you suddenly get very serious about the rest of your freewheeling budget. 🤼

IMO if you need a pay bump to drive you to be a main eventer you probably shouldn't be one. Salary lessens the stakes of putting people over, doing jobs, losing your spot, etc.

IMO if you need a pay bump to drive you to be a main eventer you probably shouldn't be one. Salary lessens the stakes of putting people over, doing jobs, losing your spot, etc.
I think I would do great at these interviews because I can think of a dozen ways to avoid saying "I just don't think he's very good"

Not sure where I stand on silliness in pro-wrestling. Clearly some levity is needed in a mainstream product because complete self-seriousness in scripted fighting is also a turn-off; but it's very easy to see how it will age poorly when the jokes don't hit anymore, unless we're making fun of it. 🤼
