I can't quite articulate it, but the choice to reference "working people" here does really annoy me.

It's so out of place in what is otherwise a national security/foreign policy speech, but is clearly their default mode, and reflects a government targeting solely, as Stephen Bush put it, morons.

NEWS --> BBC confirms to me that they did edit a line out of historian @rutgerbregman.com's speech. It called Trump "the most openly corrupt president in US history."

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

She attended a fundraising dinner with Trump at Mar-a-Lago on April 4.

She lobbied Trump to pardon her son, who had pleaded guilty to tax crimes.
