My goal is to work towards this. Nobody is perfect, the Internet incentivizes doubling-down and digging in. We can all improve, and this is where I want to grow.

"Antifa has been around in various iterations for almost 100 years in some instances, going back to the Weimar Republic in Germany."

Bray is a historian at Rutgers who received death threats after landing on Turning Points USA's Professor Watchlist. As a result, he announced he was moving to Europe. And then this happened.

This kind of harassment and abuse of scholars is Charlie Kirk's legacy and it's only getting worse.

“Someone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’

Incredible.

Jack Posobiec references the earliest version of antifa -- the anti-fascists in the Weimar Republic who were opposed to the Nazi Party -- as the bad guys.

Senate Republicans blocked Democrats' bill that would have reopened the government and saved health care for millions of Americans.

This is the SIXTH time they've done this.

Republicans are responsible for this shutdown.

Along with the fascism, the other way you know this is not OK is to imagine the hysterical National Conversation™️ about freedom of religion & the separation of church & state we'd be having if an observant Muslim or Jew in a Democratic president's Cabinet opened a government meeting with prayers.

Apropos of nothing, Sec. Kristi Noem is currently praying over Burgerville with Portland ICE officials.

Pritzker: "It's unconscionable. This has never happened before. They're calling out troops onto the streets of a state that doesn't want them and they're not even telling us where they're gonna go, what they're gonna do. This hasn't happened I don't think since the Civil War."

More history from this Nazi adulated by the Trump team. These are explicit, proud Nazis who scream and cry and call every referee they can find when you quote their Nazism back to them.
Multiple tweets from Nazi Jack Posobiec in 2016 making "jokes" involving the Nazi code "1488."

A lot going on here, but a religion note: DHS Assistant Sec. Tricia McLaughlin refers to Rev. Black as a "pastor" here — using quotation marks.

It's a notable slight against a faith leader's status, as Black is, in fact, an ordained minister of a church operating within the Presbytery of Chicago.
This footage is from almost a month ago. What this clipped video doesn’t show is that these agitators were blocking an ICE vehicle from leaving the federal facility—impeding operations.

Over and over again, law enforcement ordered these agitators to move off of federal property so the vehicle could move. Law enforcement verbally warned these agitators that they would use force if they did not move and stop impeding operations. They did not comply.

Shortly after, rioters began throwing rocks, bottles and launching fireworks at the law enforcement officers on the roof.

At the time of this incident, this facility held criminal illegal aliens including gang members, drug traffickers, and other violent criminals. Obstructing law enforcement puts officers, detainees and the public at risk. If you are obstructing law enforcement you can expect to be met with force.

And, as an aside, this is the same “pastor” who flipped
@Sec_Noem
and our team the bird when we were there last week.

The hell with copyrights and digital rights management, someone has to think of the Silicon Valley billionaires who'd suffer if they had to respect other people's NIL and intellectual property rights.

This shit really illustrates the way these assholes treat AI like the new religion.

Mike Johnson’s position is young pregnant American women shouldn’t have to wait before being turned away to die in the parking lot from an ectopic pregnancy the hospital is afraid to treat

Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

Of course there are countless instances around the world and throughout history of peaceful protests interrupted by state violence. Today I am thinking of those that particularly make the state look foolish and brutal in a way that engenders widespread public support for the movement.

I am loving these costumes, and it is such a brilliant form of protest. It juxtaposes the federal government’s violence and overreaction against something obviously not a threat. This juxtaposition reminds me of other protest movements:

Stephen Miller said the quiet part out loud. Trump has “plenary authority,” then suddenly went silent. Their plan wasn’t to be public yet. Clearly, someone hit the panic button in his earpiece.

It gets weirder: CNN uploaded the interview with the “plenary authority” comment edited out.
