This is what hearings and Congressional oversight is for and what people need to see. I know a lot more of this is happening that doesn't make it off of C-SPAN but...Trump's presumptions on unchecked power stop when he doesn't have a puppet Speaker willing to shut down Congress to help him.

Twice now they've let Russ Vought throw out "punish the feds" trial balloons (threatening RIFs then back pay) and both times they've immediately hung him out to dry in the media. He's looking like Charlie Brown with the football at this point.

Now, I think some ICE agents will work for free because of the love of the monstrous game, but shipping the national guard to (expensive) cities without pay is an unforced error and slight all in one.

Oh this party might be too far gone for rebuilding. They've morphed into a white nationalist dissident movement that operates without any interest in governing or the rule of law. I don't trust them to reform themselves.
