This. Not only is it a waste and distraction, but it will exhaust everyone. Unless his words are harmful, ignore his words until they become actions. Then snap into attention.
I just think you don't have to cover everything he says right away. If he actually does something, fine, but a dumb person saying nonsense doesn't deserve breathless news coverage. Gather it all up and just have a digest on Fridays with a list of dumb shit he's said and use the week for other stuff.
