Margaret Somers has a really moving chapter in her book Genealogies of Citizenship called Genealogies of Katrina that I think is an excellent companion read to any of the documentaries people are mentioning here

That would be amazing thank you! Last year we did Frank Shimer, this year What Another; what I appreciate about the work is not just the content (so important!) but the fact that the way that the writing is organized is very valuable as a model for helping students think about making arguments!
