"Recognizing that people who use drugs may seek specific combinations to achieve desired effects, cope with personal issues, or enhance social experiences can inform more empathetic and tailored harm reduction strategies."
Seventy percent use for fun or to get high; three-quarters use at home; almost all have used multiple drugs on the same occasion.

This Trump terminated study helps prevent HIV among young people - not a priority for the Trump administration. Of course they took the opportunity to defame the study and life’s work of researchers, the value of LGBTQ+ kids and to sneer at the concept of anyone actually learning anything too.

If you survey pharmacists about whether they readily provide harm reduction supplies like syringes, "it’s easy for a person to say yes or no,” the lead study author tells Sydney Sauer.

“When you go in person and do a secret shopper audit … you’re getting the true measurement.”

We need to organize--let’s help each other.

NIH is cancelling grants, but it's not clear exactly what they're cancelling and why. Without this information, we can't respond.

I've started a Google Sheet to track grant cancellations.

Please add any canceled grants you know of and spread the word!

Trans people have always existed and always will. They’re normal.

Trying to erase them is futile.
You will never win.
And in that process of losing miserably, you will only be remembered as a small, weak, piss-stained coward.
