Good news from Montana. The Montana Supreme Court upheld a lower court ruling in favor of youth climate activists! "Given that the case is predicated on Montana's Constitution, this ruling is the final decision. It cannot be appealed to a federal court."

A thread worth reading from the stellar activists at @altyellonatpark.org. Check out their feed for information, ideas, hope and great wildlife photos. Save our parks and public lands!
What is it about subsidies that frightens politicians ?

The majority of the subsidies doing the most harm today involves just a few industries.
Fossil fuels
Ranching
Feed and grain

This is Theo. He's always looking out for his older sister Mia. Sometimes that means simply making sure she gets enough pets at day care. 13/10 for both

Thanks to @scalzi.com for the tip about bookshop.org! All my holiday shopping will be from independent bookstores or this site this year. Free shipping and supporting indies instead of billionaires, what's not to love?

Our current administration and senators must dedicate every moment until January 3rd to confirming regulators and judges who will stand up to the Trump administration’s blatant disregard for our environment, wildlife, and parks. This is not a time for despair—it’s a time for decisive action.
