This is a fair question to ask, but so is the opposite: do all the people complaining about the censorship of Horses also complain about the censorship of anime titty games and the like? Because you can only truly be against censorship by opposing it with both of these, not just one or the other.

Just got my 2 stars from #AdventOfCode 2025 Day 3. (I was a little late.)

The second star was quite the doozie! I manually followed the process of reducing a number down one digit at a time while keeping it as large as possible, so many times! 😫 It took too long for me to figure out how it worked!

I just migrated from my old DNS provider to @porkbun.com and none of my DNS records were moved... Greeeeeat. 🙃

if a game has achievements, i think you should only be able to get all of them if you are intimately familiar with the game. like 'ive played through it 6 times, and occasionally do randomizers' familiarity. and more people need to be comfortable with only having 12/20 achievements

"it's unsafe" and "they might get hurt" and "they're too young" are a sort of plague-thinking on the knowledge rearing of generations, i think

"i'll teach you how to be safe" is far preferable to "i won't expose you to it in any way that will be meaningful for you"

anthropic scraping libgen is a billion dollar industry taking advantage of a public good for personal gain. if some dipshit puts an entire library book through a copier and sells printouts, it is the dipshit you get mad at. not the library for giving him the book.

nintendo claiming billions in lost sales to piracy is baby bitch shit and authors doing the same for things like libgen or the internet archive are just as pathetic to me. get mad at your publisher not paying you enough for the sales you DO make.

maybe it's the privilege of doing well enough in my field that i don't feel threatened by theoretical lost sales to piracy but anyone who'd steal a work was either a) never gonna pay for it in the first place or b) gonna pay for it when they were able to later c) has no option to pay for it

I considered writing a long carefully constructed argument laying out the harms and limitations of AI, but instead I wrote about being a hater. Only humans can be haters.
I Am An AI Hater
I am an AI hater. This is considered rude, but I do not care, because I am a hater.

I can't listen to podcasts, I can only watch them. It took me to pay for podcasts for me to realise this. Am alone I in this?

Putting this in front of people's feeds so that they're unable to view or interact with anything until they click "Continue," which also indicates "understanding" and "agreeing" with many pages of legalese, is a great way to tell your users you DGAF about getting their consent @support.bsky.team

A dreadful side effect of the fact that this webaite has a large population of refugee twitter "leftists" that think quote dunking and posturing about morals are the same as meaningful action.

this is maybe trite at this point but it is in your interest to find ways to create things. basically everyone wants you to be consuming nonstop. making stuff, from cooking to photography or whatever, can help you feel more in control. doesn’t even have to be something you share with other people

For the love of all things good, if you're on the internet, use a content blocker (mistakenly called an adblocker)!

Your experience will improve threefold.

@rizdraws.bsky.social I just signed up to your site a couple weeks ago! Is there any way to hide stuff from your store (because I already bought it on Gumroad) so I don't accidentally buy it again? Or a way of owning those sets on your store after showing proof of purchase?

Like, let's be real here, I don't believe in the power of physical games for preservation. I just don't. No one actually should, but the world we live in is mostly people who thinks about their usage more than the full picture, and this annoys me.

"2K" = 2048x1080 = 1080p

Please stop saying "2K" when talking about 1440p!
