There is an alternative world where they took on Trump differently and focused on him funneling money to the wealthy while he guts the working class. But you can't rewrite the past. You just ran an entire campaign on him destroying the constitution, you can't just say that is legitimate now.

This is exactly the problem. You can't go all in on Trump destroying the foundations of our democracy but still say he belongs in the office of the presidency. It is absurd on its face and makes it impossible for any voter to conclude that Democrats are not insincere.
