The entirety of the GOP is complicit in Trump's authoritarian march. The party must be defeated and resisted at every level.

It would be a mistake to see Trumpism as authoritarianism imposed on an unwilling nation, as opposed to authoritarianism implemented in a nation with a plurality that is already made up of authoritarian bootlickers who created the context for Trumpism to thrive.

Some on the right may say the same thing about Charlie Kirk’s assassination. But there is at least one crucial difference. Kirk’s killer was an individual who is now behind bars. Good’s killer is an agent of the federal government, which claims he enjoys full immunity for his actions.

Also, by their own standards, the cops protecting the Capitol on Jan 6 should have opened fire all over.

I heard a good point. If that officer felt “threatened” by that lady such that he had to kill her, he is too fragile to be a cop.

/3 Now, Maduro IS evil, without apology to the few marginal dipshits I’ll offend by saying so. Lawless thuggery does not magically transform its object into something good. But the cultural expectation to cut our denunciations of our government’s lawlessness with ritual apologia is weak and feeble.

We should not surrender “the government has to follow the law” as a political principle, for practical or any other reasons! Once we surrender that, all is lost.

And most people believe it, anyway. Many of Trump’s voters too. They think being a criminal is bad, they just don’t see him as one.
Trump is president to begin with because a critical share of Americans don't really care about norms and legalities. As a matter of politics, probably best to say that this was the act of a stupid and dishonest man, who doesn't really care about drugs, that could pull us into a deeper conflict.

With all this talk of how to end Russias war against Ukraine, and a cease fire, keep this in mind:

If Ukraine ceases firing, Ukraine will cease to exist.

If Russia ceases firing. the war will cease to exist.

Pretty clear

Remember: Trump or Russian propagandists might say otherwise, but Putin is not winning, and the Ukrainians are not losing.
I am told that internal Ukrainian army information shows that more than 26,000 Russian soldiers were killed or critically wounded in the month of November. Confirmed by videos. No wonder Putin wants to get Trump to give him territory for free

What's deeply funny about this:

It's mostly tied to 10 year targets around robo taxis and Tesla sales figures he has zero chance of meeting.

So it's just pure delusion on all sides. 12 year old brains doing 12 year old 'cool' things all round.

I have been struck with something. We all mourn the death of Charlie Kirk. It absolutely was pure evil.

But there have been an immense amount of school shootings… against children.. and the GOP doesn’t show 1/456th of the remorse they demand America shows for Charlie
