The Penn State coaching search was a complete debacle but at the end of it all they wound up with Campbell, who is a solid coach. If Michigan winds up with Whittingham or Brohm I will probably feel the same way about Michigan’s search.

Everyone is grabbing torches and pitchforks to yell at the group of five teams in defense of a Norte Dame team who beat fucking no one and Texas who lost to a team coach by goddamn Billy Napier. All of the noise around this has been extremely stupid.
Disappointing to here Joe Tess rattling off anti-G5 talking points from the booth here. This game has sucked and the JMU-Oregon game will be a slaughter, but the point is the rest of the season. You either drastically trim whose season "matters" or you acknowledge the Playoff is a source of meaning

Someone pointed out Whittingham is only two years older than Cignetti. I probably shouldn’t get my hopes up because I don’t think it’s gonna be him but at this point he seems like the very obvious choice.. He just won double digit games. The floor for him is gonna be incredibly high.
