I guess we’ll be replacing the sugar in our diets with salmonella.
The Trump Administration Agriculture Department will not require poultry companies to limit salmonella bacteria in their products, halting a Biden Administration effort to prevent food poisoning from contaminated meat.

Gosh, how do we get the Salvadorans to release Kilman Abrego Garcia?!?

Um, here's an idea - STOP PAYING THE SALVADORANS.

It costs them money to detain him. Turn off the money, and they won't detain him anymore.

Anything else from the Trump administration is a total LIE.

To me, this stands out among the many egregious news reports this week. And that’s saying something.
This is naked corruption that uses federal policy to pour money into the pockets of the President's largest campaign donor. Forcing the nation's 70-some million Social Security recipients to sign up for the website owned by a Nazi saluting billionaire is outrageous.

SCOOP: The Social Security Administration (SSA) will be shifting its public communication exclusively to X, sources tell WIRED. This comes as agency plans to cut its regional office workforce by roughly 90 percent.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.

If you need a reminder of why the tariffs are a public health issue as well:

▶️About *80%* of our active pharmaceutical ingredients are produced abroad.
▶️About *50%* of our generic drugs are manufactured overseas

This means increased costs in an inevitably strained generic drug supply. Not good

Fingers crossed
RAND PAUL: “.. When McKinley most famously put tariffs on in 1890, [the GOP] lost 50 percent of their seats in the next election. When [Smoot and Hawley] put on their tariff in the early 1930s, we lost the House and the Senate for 60 years.”

To be crystal clear:

1. Measles is a nasty disease
2. You cannot treat measles with antibiotics or cod liver oil
3. The measles vaccine is very safe and highly effective, as shown by the ELIMINATION OF THE DISEASE IN THE US FOR 25 YEARS
4. RFK Jr. is an ignorant fool
In an interview, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the health and human services secretary, outlined a strategy for containing the measles outbreak in West Texas that strayed far from mainstream science, relying heavily on fringe theories about prevention and treatments.

In a recent interview, the health secretary also suggested that the measles vaccine had harmed children in West Texas, center of an outbreak.
