I dedicated years of my life to reporting on January 6 and exposing what happened. I was there that day, co-wrote a book, and published a series of major stories on my own, for Rolling Stone, and for TPM.

You know what I love about books? In any plot, if someone tried to pull a move like this with the government gaslighting the people, every reader would label that government the villain. No second guessing. Full agreement.

Phantasma is done! Great concept, good execution, predictable and in my opinion only slightly boring nearly tied off ending. 4/5
Next book - Master of Salt and Bones by Keri Lake. Had a very intriguing blurb. So far gorgeous gothic writing. 12% through already since last night!

My great aunt was a soul friend, and she passed away in 2016.
I have her annotated cookbooks, though, and this one had me giggling and missing her so much. For someone born in the 1920s she sounded pretty modern here.
