I love living in a city full of immigrants and tons and tons of people who are not at all like me and not like each other. It makes us all better and it makes our city better. I know I’m preaching to the choir by saying this on the lib app but I sometimes just get so overwhelmed by how special it is

Today, ICE agents apprehended someone on a community college in the Chicago area (College of Lake County). They weren't in any buildings, but they were on campus. Apparently campus police came to the scene, conferred with ICE agents, and then the arrest continued. No news on whether it was a student

There have been roughly 1400 immigration-related arrests in DC since early August, according to CBS News. Who was arrested? What happened to them? Who and what did they leave behind?

Nearly 1,400 of those arrests were counted as administrative arrests by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, the federal agency spearheading Mr. Trump's mass deportation campaign. Those arrests involve immigrants ICE seeks to deport because of alleged civil violations of federal immigration law, like entering the U.S. illegally or overstaying a visa. It's unclear how many of those arrested by ICE had criminal histories in addition to their alleged civil immigration violations.

My apartment has a racquetball court, a pickleball court, a basketball court, gym, soft play area for little kids, an outdoor playground, gas grills, and an outdoor pool.

To be sure, there are high-ranking military officials who agree with Trump and Hegseth. But make no mistake: there are a lot of genuinely brave, civic-minded leaders in our military, and brave, civic-minded people see Hegseth and Trump for the pathetic coward wannabes that they are.

Fabricating “evidence” of crimes is one use. You know the reactions to political violence? Soon false accusations will have video that appeals real to anyone not looking closely. And maybe to them too.

But another problem is people dismissing real evidence because they think anything could be fake.
