ICE killing #AlexPretti should remind you of police killing #PhilandoCastille. Both men had concealed weapon permits, did not draw their guns, & were killed in Minn. These homicides are the price of unaccountable policing. These deaths are variations on the same fatal theme.

everyone in ice should be banned from owning a gun for the rest of their lives, even if the quit today. everyone that works one more day should get 20 years in jail. this should seem like a gift from santa compared to what happens to those in charge of this terror campaign.

they're executing moms and nurses in the street. they're using preschoolers as bait. they're stealing people's dads and grandmas and children. they're tear gassing babies. they're staking out schools. there is no remedy but abolition. any proposal that doesn't start there is an act of violence.

We are not the first people, or the first country, to suffer under a tyrannical government that does not respect our lives, or our rights.

There is a method for how to effectively resist, and eventually topple, such a regime. We can learn from others who came before us.

This is my favorite guide.

I can't put into words the feeling of watching our government, a hive of evil antisocial filth, the absolute worst humanity has to offer, colliding with the best. Ordinary people trying to help each other, risking everything to stand up for what's plainly, unambiguously fair and right. It's unreal

WOW.
Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump.

Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

I’m a big fan of civilization. Rule of law, public health, universities, science, all good things. Great stuff. It may not be ‘politically correct’ to say this but I’m also a fan of what civilizations have done to idiot barbarian hordes who attempted to trample on those things.

Ironically these kinds of threats do more to radicalize opposition to ICE tactics than they do to stop people from recording ICE.

It's horrific that support for a rapist president sending masked death squads to go door to door; covering up his involvement with a child rape conspiracy; and taking bribes for pardons and other illegal schemes is higher than 0.01%. - but how are 33% educated whites or 26% of non-whites ok w/ this?
Interesting results in the new NY Times Sienna College poll. Any new support for Republicans among nonwhite voters that appeared in 2024 has evaporated. But also, there is no college/non-college educational polarization among nonwhite voters. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/22/u...

📌It just seems like a prosecutor testifying publicly he had an abundance of evidence that could have jailed our sitting president for life, should get wall-to-wall coverage.

Is our legacy media really that bought-off and/or incompetent that an historic occasion like this is treated so casually?

This is something where a) it would be really useful to get a traditional media source to provide credible confirmation, and b) to treat this as a major story. Because if it is real, we are looking at a new level of state propaganda, and if there is no pushback they will do it again.

It is important to acknowledge who is standing up and who is just trying to get by. Every day Americans are standing up while the powerful are mostly standing by.

Why aren't law firms standing up and sending lawyers to Minneapolis. Why aren't the corporations speaking out? Why isn't the media?
