No degree of training or “reform” can change U.S. policing’s origin as armed local militias, tasked with patrolling the countryside to kill or recapture runaway enslaved Africans.

🇺🇸 law enforcement was quite literally designed to hunt and terrorize Black people. Hasn’t change much.

Teach history.

Federal Judge: President Trump Can’t Unilaterally Rewrite Election Law
As summarized by Judge Kollar-Kotelly, “the States have initial authority to regulate elections. Congress has supervisory authority over those regulations. The President does not feature at all.”

In the U.S. in 1825, *452* out of 1000 children born died before their 5th birthday.

By 1925, that number was 135 out of a 1000 children.

Today, in 2025, that number is *7*

And it is entirely due to advances in medicine, public health, and technology.

Astonishing.

Read ICE official's affidavit. ICE had the detainees in their custody before turning them over to DOD for transfer to torture in El Salvador. AFTER court issued TRO.

The thing about Amazon is that, outside of bookish spaces, people genuinely think it's a big deal to have your book on there. So many relatives or friends of family has proudly stated "I found your book on Amazon!" to me, unaware of the harm the company does to the industry and indie booksellers.
