Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

This is a large contributor to why I prefer collaborative TTRPGs where the assumptions of the GM role is dispersed amongst the collective: to greater amplify the overall quality of play.

We don’t expect players who aren’t charismatic to say what they do to convince the guard, why do we expect players who aren’t skilled at squad-based small unit tactical combat to say what they do on their turn? Just let them say “I make the most optimal tactical decision” and roll the dice.
