As the person who does most of the VM socials, let me tell you this: bluesky is absolutely the worst platform of the bunch for slapping random adult content warnings on innocent posts to bury them. Would super appreciate if you share the post below like hell, and donate a fiver!
Let's try this again... Glad tidings we bring to you and your quim! We are fundraising this festive period. Earlier this year, the future looked bleak for the Vagina Museum. But we're still here, and there's many reasons for you to become a vital part of our future... www.gofundme.com/f/btscc2

As someone who struggles to afford to live, libraries are fucking amazing!
There's so many books and graphic novels and audiobooks and it's warm!

It's up to 37 tickets sold so far. Can we manage 50 by Monday when I have to pay the deposit?

I'm reading Wuthering Heights for the first time. Is Ellen/Nelly meant to be the baddie? Her narrative is filled with instances of her not passing on messages or misrepresenting what was said.

In stopping buying ebooks from teh Evil River, I've realised DRM is pro-ewaste. I'm supposed to buy a different ereader instead continuing with my current one. And trying to strip the DRM so I can read my damn book I just bought is illegal.

In some casual research I came across an article called "How are women sicker than men? An overview of psychosomatic problems in women."

I found it on JSTOR, it's an actual article. Written in 1982.

I hate it. I hate the accusing tone, I hate that it was accepted, I hate it all.

Has there been any cases yet of idiots pretending to be ICE and simply kidnapping people? As opposed to ICE who...just kidnap people.

A modern version of "clearly it was The Aliens who helped this group of not white folks build their impressive stuff"
R F Kuang is hands down one of the best writers alive at the moment. It’s insane that people are even suggesting AI is the reason. Why can’t people just let her be a best selling author without this veiled jealousy? If she was a white man, no one would be making these accusations.

To help my brain fog clear, I wrote a wee article: Assorted Thoughts on Assorted Writing Advice.

My face still feels dizzy, but at least the brain fog has been fended off for now.

It's occurred to me that the #GSFWC Gallus anthology came out over a year ago, so:
1) I should probably freshen up my bio a bit, and
2) I should probably submit somewhere else one of these days

I get brain fog as a symptom of CFS. Writing helps with it. Yea, it's hard, but writing gave me my brain back.

Folks justifying AI use in their writing because "it's hard" are cheating themselves.

Yes.
I'm having a rough go of it lately, and have been thinking: everyone is going through something, and you have no idea what it is, or how it's affecting them.

Quote post this is if you're going through something, and maybe we'll all realize that we aren't as alone as we feel right now.
