The action in MORTAL KOMBAT (1994) is fine, but the Scorpion fight kicks butt for one reason: The star of the film Robin Shou, took over as choreographer. He was a veteran of Taiwanese action, so suddenly there's impact powder, body falls, and little gags like leg smashes.
