This is insane.
And just like clockwork, the reconciliation bill in the House includes a blanket federal preemption of state AI regulation.

Congress is incapable of meaningful AI regulation to protect the public. It is, however, quite capable of failing to act while also banning states from acting.

Truly gross

Incredible. The Trump administration calculated "tariff rates" by taking the US trade deficit with the respective country and dividing it by the country's exports to the US. And then the tariff rate of the US is often just set by cutting that made-up "tariff rate" in half.

🚨🚨 So five years since #brexit and I think it is time reshare Daniel Hannan's absolutely insane and delusional vision of grandeur and hubris that characterised the true engineers and believers of #brexit. Here comes the #brexit insanity No 1 🧵

If #RachelReevesMP really wants to get growth going, then perhaps ensuring decent mobile networks exist along the main train routes would be an easy win. Just spent 30 mins on one transaction that should only take 3 on the @eastmidsrailway.bsky.social route to #London. #productivity #fail
