I couldn't agree more strongly with Max's second point. AI should be the great leveler and the ultimate destroyer of tedium, but it is being directed against us.
1) An administrative burden party is a brilliant idea.
2) This mundane crap is the stuff AI *should* be helping us with for a happier and more productive society, but capital prefers to weaponize it against us, including to make bureaucratic mazes more confusing and impenetrable.

This is a sensible perspective, articulated very diplomatically.
And I think that's wishful thinking. Hundreds of *millions* of people are using AI. And the vasty majority have NO IDEA how dangerous or harmful these platforms can be. It would be great if there were tools that they could use that might help reduce their risks. www.anildash.com/2025/11/14/w...

A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.
All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.
So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

If you think AI is the future, then you should be giving serious thought to what obligations we need to impose on hyperscalers as their public importance grows, and how we push the industry to make compute power as cheap, commoditized, and plentiful as electricity or water.

We're forming a coalition of state legislators who won't let such crucial infrastructure remain under Big Tech control - join us today!
Given that cloud computing has become such a central part of our lives — and the serious harms already caused by concentration in this sector — it should be regulated as a public utility, Michelle Nie, Theodora Skeadas, Nick Garcia, and Elise Phillips write.
