The EV share of new car sales in 🇩🇰 Denmark was 73.7% in November. Of private individuals buying a new car, 91% opted for an EV.

Cities are powering a cleaner, healthier future. ⚡

From Melbourne to Lagos, 15 cities in our Renewable Energy Accelerator are transitioning from fossil fuels.

A third already powers their city operations with 100% renewable electricity, building a future where clean energy is available for all.

Headline from a serious and long working paper on the economic impact of Brexit. Possible that this has been feeding into OBR and HMT discussions?

Africa is making our solarpunk dreams a reality!

In Kenya, a company called MycoTile is making biodegradable yet affordable building materials out of fungi grown on plant-based agricultural waste.

THIS is how we and the rest of the world must treat this disgusting MAGA infection.
Cut it off at the knees.
Don't let them treat every public appearance like a MAGA rally to spew their vile lies.

(The irony of Cuba calling him out is not lost on me.)

💸The Trump admin gives the fossil fuel industry nearly *35B* a year in handouts. That money could fund food assistance for 3M families. The money to ensure everyone has what they need to thrive exists – it’s just in the wrong hands. bit.ly/47PPvZ9

I've finally got around to curating a selection of films about the #climate crisis 🎥

There's lot of mediocre climate films out there, but for me these stand out head & shoulders above the rest 🎞️

They make excellent resources for classrooms, lecture halls, or community cinema's 🎬

Also: in no way are Crusoe an "artificial intelligence company".

Crusoe is a fossil fuel company trying to manufacture demand using ultra-wasteful digital technologies. First it was Bitcoin, now it's this.

They get away with it bc journalists help smooth their image.
Extremely telling clip with Crusoe Energy's CEO talking about data centre development.

"there's no way it's going to get to 100% carbon-free power production to power all of the AI infrastructure"

Just saying out loud what the companies say internally.

Hurricane Melissa could be one of the most worst hurricanes on record for Jamaica...and it's a textbook example of how climate change is making hurricanes more dangerous: explosive intensification, slow movement, and massive rainfall.

If you know any there, please make sure they’re prepared 🙏

Bill Gates is deeply misguided on climate. My Newsweek commentary debunking his downplaying of the need for rapid decarbonization is nearly 5 years old, but it is evergreen: www.newsweek.com/right-path-f...

So, Trump is literally demolishing parts of the East Wing of the White House to make space for a Ballroom that will fit his dictatorship/king ambitions. What's next? A throne room?
