They shut down the government with a partisan plan that has us barreling toward a national health care crisis — and they won't even come to the table.

Oh, and House Republicans have been on a paid vacation for weeks. They just don't give a damn about anyone other than their billionaire buddies.

This was genuinely not-horrible from Jeffries.

No rescission. No impoundment.

But the tax cuts works.
Jeffries: "Republicans enacted permanent tax breaks for the wealthy, well-off, and well-connected. Permanent tax breaks. And now the nerve of these people to say to us that 'we do not have the time or inclination to address the ACA tax credits for working-class Americans'"

I do firmly believe that refusing to outsource your basic cognitive functions to LLMs right now - as so many are stumbling over themselves to do right now, like hogs trotting to a pile of slop that’s been set up inside of a butcher’s delivery truck - will very much pay off in a few years.

Trump and his authoritarian project are destroying lives, people’s finances, and our national security.

But it is also waking America up to the need to work for our freedom.

And when America is fully awakened, we will not only win, we will turn this crisis into a rebirth for a better democracy.

The Trump-Supreme Court battle is not really the crisis.

The crisis is here now. Trump is enacting an insidious coordinated attack on our institutions of democratic accountability, designed to crater democracy before next fall.

The continued threat by Musk that he has the ability to disable Starlink will end up costing SpaceX millions in cancelled and lost future contracts.

SpaceX, much like Tesla, needs to consider the cost/benefit of continuing to be associated with Musk.
