This was quite legitimately one of the worst years of my life and I still did some of the coolest things and went to some of the coolest places and spent time with some of the coolest people and if that’s what one of the worst years of my life looks like, then I have really sick better years ahead

This would nearly solve the issue overnight, and all it takes is learning from the Academy Awards/Oscars, which it’s obvious the TGAs want the prestige of. There’s nothing at the TGAs with the nuance of Best Screenplay, Best Costume Design, Best Visual Effects…
One easy fix would be to eliminate categories based on genre or whatever “indie” means and instead get granular about craft (best level design, best world, best combat, etc) which would probably pose other problems but at least make for more interesting conversations and honor specific people

i like that it obviously should be reunion as it will be the reunion of a bunch of characters and sephiroth's goal is the reunion of the timelines and it is the game where the reunion happens its like the big famous ff7 thing. but in infinite wisdom. square enix used that on a crisis core remaster
